This poster was for a hypothetical conference on postmodernism titled 'Culture Vulture'. My poster contains references to artists such as Robert Rauschenberg and Roy Lichtenstein, who can be associated with post-modernism (along with other art-movements). For me post-modernism means the abandonment of a singular vision, theory or aspiration such as the modernist utopian ideals of the Bauhaus, and the embracing of eclectic influences reflecting and referencing the world around us. Collage, and the inclusion of the low-brow, such as literally using rubbish from the street, are two influences in my own design.
