SYD / MEL                  In-between Spaces
                                                                                                      2025

Sydney and Melbourne are the two big cities away from home that I have spent decent amounts of time over the past 40 years. I usually travel to see family, friends, and art exhibitions. This time I visited to take photos and experience the cities as more of an observer of people. Both cities feel like home to me in different ways. I've been often enough they feel both familiar and foreign at the same time. There is a pace to these cities that can't be matched at home. The way people move through the spaces getting from one place to another. The density. Most people are so busy going about their business they pay little attention to what I'm doing with my camera. I think about both cities a lot and imagine living there, constantly comparing them and all they have to offer.
